neat pleated frilled
hair braided
with ribbons silk
shoes shown bright
spotless speckless
skips hops
tumbles topples
falls
splashes
muddy water all over herself
all wet
all dirty
eyes teary
grey and misty
awaits a helping hand
groans in pain
looks disdain
for people pass by
looking past her
people pass by
as if she never existed
until a young boy
not more than ten
extends his hand
pulls her out of the sticky tricky situation
gives away his stark white shirt
his only possession
offers her his only meals of peanuts and milk
does his best to make her his friend
but in the end
she sulks and groans
curses him instead
for not showing up earlier and helping her quick
snubs him
scoffs at him
selfish and thankless
she takes off in to a sprint
the teary eyed tender boy
stands shirtless homeless friendless
not knowing what to do....
